Brian D. Alexander, managing partner of Alexander & Associates, practices in the areas of taxation, estate planning and litigation. He received a BA in Anthropology from the University of California Santa Barbara and obtained his Juris Doctor form St. John’s University School of Law, New York, having graduated with the honor of Dean’s List. While in law school Mr. Alexander interned with the Department of Justice in the Office of Foreign Litigation. After law school, wanting to further expand his educational background he attended the University of San Diego School of Law to obtain the post graduate degree of a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in taxation. Mr. Alexander is licensed to practice in the State of California, US District Court and US Tax Court.
Throughout his career Brian D. Alexander has counseled individual clients in carrying out their testamentary intent, as well as preservation of their assets for future generation, through properly drafted and funded trust instruments. In addition he has maintained a focus in the practice areas of estate administration and litigation, entity formation, and civil litigation. Over the past years Mr. Alexander has defended individuals and businesses before the IRS, Franchise Tax Board and Board of Equalization from the initial stages of an audit though the Appeals process and filing petitions to dispute adverse determinations with the United States Tax Court.
